We understand that mental health and wellbeing can be influenced by many areas of life. Our team provides compassionate, non-judgemental, and recovery-oriented support to help individuals recognise their strengths, develop practical strategies, strengthen relationships and community connections, and work towards a life that is meaningful to them.

Scope Notice: 

Strengthening Hands provides social work, psychosocial, and wellbeing support. Our services do not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency mental health care.

How We Can Support Your Mental Health & Wellbeing:

Holistic Wellbeing Planning:

Working together to identify wellbeing goals and develop practical routines and strategies that support everyday wellbeing, balance, and self-care.

Social Connection & Community Participation:

Supporting individuals to strengthen confidence, reduce social isolation, and build meaningful connections with family, friends, and their community.

Self-Advocacy & Confidence:

Supporting individuals to understand their needs, communicate their preferences, make informed choices, and build confidence in advocating for themselves.

Coping & Emotional Wellbeing:

Supporting individuals to understand emotional responses, identify helpful coping strategies, and develop practical ways to navigate stress, change, and challenging situations.

Life Changes & Adjustment Support:

Supporting people experiencing changes in relationships, family circumstances, health, disability, housing, employment, or other significant areas of life.

NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coaching:

Supporting eligible NDIS participants living with psychosocial disability to understand and implement their plan, strengthen recovery and independence, connect with appropriate services, and build capacity to manage their supports.
